About Dr. Spingola: Dr. Henry Spingola is a fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeon who specializes in advanced foot and ankle reconstruction including flatfoot/cavus foot deformity correction, ankle arthroscopy, primary and revision total ankle replacement, charcot reconstruction, peripheral nerve surgery, minimally invasive approaches, sports medicine, and traumatic injuries to the lower extremity. Although Dr. Spingola enjoys many aspects of surgical intervention, he firmly believes and emphasizes initial conservative treatment methods prior to pursuing surgery.

Dr. Spingola was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology from the University of Kansas where he was a member of their division 2 hockey team. From there, he received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.

Upon graduation, Dr. Spingola completed a comprehensive 3-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery certification at AMITA St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. There he was exposed to all aspects of lower extremity surgery as well as rotations in internal medicine, infectious disease, general surgery, vascular surgery, and orthopedic surgery. In his final year of residency, Dr. Spingola served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Spingola expanded his training in Youngstown, Ohio where he completed an intensive Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgical Fellowship under the direction of Dr. Lawrence DiDomenico. He received extensive training on complex surgical reconstruction of the foot and ankle, Charcot reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy, and total ankle replacements. He has a passion for staying up to date with the most advanced treatments in all conservative and surgical aspects of foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Spingola is a published author, avid researcher of the foot and ankle, and has presented at several conferences.

In his free time, Dr. Spingola enjoys playing hockey, golfing, grilling, watching Chicago Blackhawks hockey and the University of Kansas basketball. He is looking forward to joining and being active in the Oklahoma City community.
